2025 Quarterback Tiers

MVP: Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes is the 3-time reigning MVP and coming off another AFC Championship. Very much worthy of the "100" ranking in the Deep Dive series.

RING SIZE: Jordan Spriggs, Mac Jones

Any questions about the greatness of Jordan Spriggs or Mac Jones? Just check their right hands and zoom in on the fourth finger. Packers sit at an easy #1 in the Deep Dives and the Rams are instant super bowl contenders after a hefty $280 million investment in Michael McCorkle Jones.

ASCENDING ELITE: Josh Allen, Declan Delaney, Dee Williams

Allen is quickly becoming the Dan Marino of this generation, with the immense physical talent and a championship window that may be closing.  Declan and Dee have performed in the playoffs, and serious money is coming in on both teams' Super Bowl Futures bets this preseason.

2024 BREAKOUTS: Daniel Lederman, Trevor Lawrence, Darius Mackey

Casey Carson. Kolby Parson. Jonathan Chamblin, Quintez Cephus. T.J. Hockenson. Saquon Barkley. Jakobi Meyers. Kadarius Toney. Kyle Pitts. Tytan Staton. Antonio Gibson. Calvin Ridley. And more. The weapons that all three of these guys have on offense are insane, and they all lead mega explosive offenses last year.

NEAL LOVE: Trey Lance, Morgan Hendrix

Just ask Khaneal Mason who his favorite HFL quarterback is. There's a reason that they were right next to each other on the HFL Top 100 players.

BLANK CHECK: Jamari Greenwood, Niaz Williams, Lamar Jackson

Jamari, Niaz, and Lamar will all get another contract, but the upcoming season will tell how much said contract will pay them out. All three have a real opportunity to make some bread this year.

SUPER SOPHS: Justice Jackson, Ben Shaffer

The two best quarterbacks in the 2024 draft class are primed for potential breakout second seasons.

DEVELOPMENTAL YEAR: Aizak Lopez, Max Howser

The good news? They both have weapons. The bad news? Neither has a particularly effective offensive line.

FRESH START: Marquise Norton, Joe Burrow, Tito Ramos

Norton is the new starter in Los Angeles, and Burrow and Ramos each have new homes after being a part of the same three team swap.

PROVE IT YEAR: Justin Fields, Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray, Justin Herbert

Fields: a truly unfortunate waste of talent. He could truly be one of these breakthrough quarterbacks if he was somewhere else.

Russ: after a subpar stint in New York, he has to prove that he's not going the way of Watson and Prescott.

Murray: huge contract that he needs to live up to.

Herbert: The offense is clearly Derrick Henry's, but they needed more from Herbert to keep their ride going last season.

YAWN: O.J. Woodward, Zach Wilson, Tua Tagovailoa, Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, Dak Prescott, Jameis Winston

No talent: Woodward. No processing: Wilson, Tagovailoa, Mayfield, Winston. Washed up: Watson and Prescott.
